Ultimate remote monitoring via D-Link Internet camera

-
D-Link International, one of the world’s biggest suppliers of network products, has launched its Day and Night series of remote monitoring solutions – the D-Link SecuriCam DCS-3420.

It offers monitoring in low light conditions and also supports optional accessories for day and night monitoring.

The DCS-3420 also connects to wireless broadband at up to 54Mbps IEEE 802.11g for any security need.

"The DCS-3420 is the newest member in our SecuriCam series. We envision it will fit any security requirement where ease of use and features are paramount. With support of accessories for day and night monitoring, customers can choose to deploy in critical secure environments such as factories, warehouses and offices," says George Wong, marketing director of D-Link International Pte. Ltd.

Featuring 4X digital zoom and a built-in microphone, the DCS-3420 is able to capture high-quality video and audio in low light settings due to its low light sensitivity of up to 0.5 Lux.

Smooth video recording of up to 30FPS is assured with MPEG-4 and MJPEG codec support, while a BNC connector is included for analog CCTV video.

The DCS-3420 comes with 10/100 Mbps Ethernet connectivity, ensuring compatibility with existing networks.

The DCS-3420 also has IEEE 802.11g wireless connectivity to make installation in hard-to-reach areas easier, without the need for Ethernet cabling. WPA-PSK and WEP ensure that all wireless connections are secure.

The DCS-3420 can be easily configured using a Web browser or through D-Link’s IP Surveillance software. Web-based interface lets users view the live feed while the IP Surveillance software can manage and monitor up to 16 cameras for a total IP Camera-based CCTV solution.
