The global trendsetting tech-nology called Machine to Machine (M2M) will be the topic of a half-day conference on March 30 at the New World Renaissance Hotel in Makati City.
The invitational event will present the new technology commonly known as M2M, and will have foreign and local experts from the industry as speakers.
Machine to Machine Inte-ractive Intelligence Inc. (M2MI3) is hosting the conference to create awareness among potential system integrators and the end-user market about the M2M technology.
It also aims to educate the market with the various M2M applications and their benefits, and encourage prospective distributors and the end-user target market to apply this technology in their current operations.
M2M stands for Machine to Machine, Machine to Mobile, and Mobile to Machine communi-cations. It can connect and enable an array of equipment from mainframes to everyday products (e.g. vehicles, home appliances, buildings, manufacturing equip-ment) and unleash new levels of smart services and commerce.
With the main theme "M2M: Expanding Business Possibilities," the conference will have the following as speakers: Angeles de Pablos of Sony-Ericsson, who will talk about "Embracing M2M," an overview of M2M Technology, how the market can adopt the technology, and M2M initia-tives to support the market; Benson Houghland of Opto 22, on "Real World Challenges," a forum on the progress of M2M and leveraging its capabilities and how it impacts on business operations.
Other speakers are Dr. Andy Clark of IBM on "Data Deli-very Assurance and Stan-dards," and Ariel de la Cruz of M2MP on "Business Models and Opportunities."
M2MI3, an M2M techno-logy service provider sup-porting end-to-end M2M solutions, is a subsidiary of Facilities Protection Inc. (FPI), one of the leading providers of facilities security and safety solutions in the country.
