Sony Cyber-shot T9 boasts Super SteadyShot tech
December 5, 2005 | 12:00am
From among todays leading digital camera line comes the latest offering by electronics powerhouse Sony Philippines the Cyber-shot T9.
This newest "T" series member is packed with the same range of high-tech, high-quality features that has become the trademark of Cyber-shot.
The T9, though, contains a real handy addition that consumers are sure to rave about. Its called Super SteadyShot technology, which delivers crisp, sharp pictures despite those difficult-to-control, jerky hand movements that often afflict ultra-compact camera users.
"The likelihood of shooting a fuzzy image due to inevitable hand movement is higher with lightweight, compact cameras as experienced by most camera users," says Hiroaki Kobayashi, Sony Philippines president.
"The ultra-slim Cyber-shot T9 prevents such an occurrence with its Super SteadyShot technology, which intuitively compensates for any hand movement," Kobayashi adds.
The super steady performance of the Cyber-shot T9 springs from the Sony Optical Image Stabilizer Technology, which counteracts camera-shake without compromising image quality.
The T9 allows a higher level of smoothness when shooting and is the first of its kind to incorporate the newly developed "Clear RAW NR," which lets one shoot in situations requiring high sensitivity (ISO 640) for clearer and better quality images.
Besides being the first slim-line Cyber-shot "T" Series camera to contain this cutting-edge feature, the T9 also boasts a six-megapixel resolution as well as a gamut of the latest components, including a large 2.5-inch 230K dots pixel Clear Photo LCD Plus screen that possesses a higher contrast ratio for more accurate color reproduction, and the "Slide Show with Music" function that enables users to playback images in a slide show format and upload their favorite music to accompany the slide show.
This digital wonder boasts a 58-MB internal memory and a Memory Stick flash media slot.
The T9 takes up to 240 shots in one charge cycle and offers MPEG-VX Standard/Fine mode, which enables recording of MPEG video with up to 640 x 480 pixel resolution at 30 frames per second.
The stylish, attention-grabbing Cyber-shot T9 is designed with the obi in mind; the chrome line between the cameras stainless steel finish closely resembles the silk belt of the Japanese kimono.
At 134 grams and only 16.8-mm thick, the Cyber-shot T9 is available in both sleek black and cool silver.
The Cyber-shot T9 will be available soon at Sony Square Park Square, Gateway Mall and SM Megamall, and in other authorized Sony outlets with a three-year warranty.
