In response to the increased incidence of criminal hacking of corporate networks in the Philippines, AG Datacom Phils. is offering a powerful, internationally certified intrusion prevention system (IPS) to the market.
AG Datacom introduced computerized call billing systems to the Philippines and is a distributor and systems integrator of end-to-end telecom solutions.
The company will launch BroadWeb Corp.s NetKeeper, an advanced IPS solution, during a free seminar for IT managers, network security managers and other technical specialists on April 20, 1:30 to 4:30 p.m., at the Hotel Intercontinental Makati.
AG Datacom has been appointed exclusive distributor of NetKeeper in the Philippines.
NetKeeper was awarded the NSS Groups seal of approval for high quality.
"There is a growing concern among corporate decision-makers and IT managers over the immense damage hackers inflict on local businesses. One of the most alarming concerns is that hackers are so expert that intrusions frequently go unnoticed. Executives and system administrators only realize a problem exists when data go missing, customers complain, or proprietary information winds up in the public domain," said Adhy Nugraha, AG Datacom vice president for marketing.
BroadWeb is a US-based IPS provider. Its solutions provide application-layer protection, including hacking detection and prevention, worm/virus protection, and information security enforcement.
Nugraha said that while IPS technology is becoming more advanced, hackers are also utilizing more sophisticated ways to get into systems unnoticed. Hackers routinely examine, copy or destroy proprietary information without being detected.
"Nothing happens in your server or computer that says youre being hacked," Nugraha said, "so it is really scary for any ordinary or corporate user, and they should really do something about it."
