Systema Computer Solutions Corp. (www.systemacorp.com), a locator inside the UP-Ayala Techno Park in UP Diliman, was selected by CITEM and USAID to take part in a US Software Trade Mission in Washington, D. C. on April 18-24, 2004. During the trade mission, Systema will be paired with US software companies and establish partnerships for software development outsourcing in the Philippines. In the mission, Systema will highlight its ninJAVA J2EE Framework (www.ninjava.net) and its extensive Java outsourcing experience. According to Mr. Gerardo Borja, President of Systema, "By partnering with US software companies, Systema aims to promote the Philippines as the most viable location for Java software development outsourcing. And to achieve this, Systema aims to train 5,000 Java/J2EE programmers by 2005 with the help of Educational institutions like Ateneo, UP Diliman and Mapua by training them using ninJAVA."
Systema has been a locator in UP-Ayala Techno Park since August 1, 2003. In that short period, Systema has been able to develop a number of Java/J2EE web systems in Japanese for its Japanese clients by emphasizing on cost effectiveness and productivity of Filipino programmers, use of a J2EE Framework based development called ninJAVA and a Methodology for offshore software development. Systema has also done extensive Research and Development work by developing a Java/J2EE Mobile Framework called ninJAVA for Mobile. Systema invested heavily on extending ninJAVA to allow both Web and Mobile system development since this is a key technology infrastructure demanded by US and European companies worldwide.
Systema accomplished all of this since its UP-Ayala Techno Park location provided easy access to quality Computer Science graduates from the University of the Philippines and Ateneo de Manila University. Furthermore, the Techno Park allowed us to collaborate with leading professors and I.T. consultants from UP and Ateneo and access to the super computing hardware resources provided by the Sun Java Research Development Center. Systema plans to double its operations in the Techno Park by next year.
