Level-Up is at it again, with the release soon of two new game expan-sions for the highly successful online role-playing game Ragnarok.
The new Episode 4: War of the Emperium upgrade and Turtle Island map will have more rules, new missions, an expanded storyline and more monsters that will put players to intense chal-lenges.
With more than 30,000 players in the ever-growing Philippine Rag-narok Online (pRO) community, War of Emperium and the Turtle Island map for Ragnarok will surely provide hours of fun and excitement for old and new players.
With a new storyline, War of the Empe-rium follows the tale of King Tristan III of Midgard who built the 20 castles to serve as prizes for competing teams or "guilds." These guilds will then work as the Kings own private army to fight the merciless god Odin.
A guild that wins a castle will be rewarded with very rare items, faster recovery of their skills, and their own treasure chest. It can also hire other non-player characters (NPCs) such as castle administrators, guardians and storage employees to manage its treasure chest.
Level-Up has begun beta-testing the updates and has logged more than 2,500 guilds, which continues to grow. It expects to fully launch the updates through Internet cafés and their resellers.
In addition to War of Emperium, Turtle Island will be the sixth map in the medieval world of Midgard where Ragnarok is set. Monsters here are more powerful and have skills not seen in the other monsters of Ragnarok. There are also new rare items, weapons and potions to be found here.
Since not all players in the pRO community are present at the same time, Level-Up will now be scheduling skirmishes, which it will announce once the updates are made available to everyone.
The strict scheduling allows players to plan their defensive and offensive strategies with their teammates. Level-Up also considers the need to maintain time management among students, which is its biggest market.
