Without wires at Seattles Best
December 5, 2003 | 12:00am
Coffee houses have long been the perfect settings for the flow of ideas and information exchange.
In the 21st century, Seattles Best Coffee takes this time-honored tradition of convergence one step further as it partners with Airborne Access to make its branches Wi-Fi hot spots for anyone with a laptop and other Wi-Fi-enabled gadgets.
Traditionally, information on the Internet flows through wires and cables. The latest technology does away with that by using a wireless networking platform technically known as 802.11b or Wi-Fi (Wireless Fidelity). The beauty of this innovation is that you no longer have to worry about finding a telephone line to connect to your dial-up service.
Experience this innovation initially at the following SBC branches: Greenbelt 1, SM Megamall Mega Strip, Paseo Center, Rockwell Power Plant, Eastwood City Walk, Cyber One and E. Rodriguez.
