Lopez IT firm steps up global branding campaign

Lopez information technology firm Corporate Information Solutions Inc. (CIS) has stepped up it campaign for positive overseas branding by expanding its alliance with Information Builders Inc. (IBI), a New York-based leader in business intelligence solutions for real-time information delivery.
President Arroyo witnessed the signing of the memorandum of understanding (MOU) at Waldorf Towers during her recent working visit to the United States.
Under the MOU, CIS will be the product reseller and implementation services partner of IBI for the Philippines and Southeast Asia.
CIS will be the product reseller of Webfocus and iWaysoftware. Webfocus is for Web-based enterprise reporting requirements which can sit on top of multiple platforms from mainframe to midrange and desktop based systems.
The products key value is its integration into and real-time access to more than 85 data sources, and its flexibility in transforming and delivering the information to the point of business through desktop, Web-based and mobile-based reports.
iWaysoftware is a middleware product for enterprise application integration with more than 120 package interfaces. It enables old and new technologies to work together, thus helping companies leverage their existing IT investments in their evolving needs.
The MOU will allow CIS to provide IBI with product development services on a royalty basis, as well as staff augmentation services for IBIs various customer consulting engagements.
To leverage CIS skills on IBI products and the wide range of technologies it currently supports, IBIs international division will engage CIS in implementation services through its global presence (IBI agents and subsidiaries). Expected revenue in three years is forecast at $18 million.
The CIS and US consulting will work together on select projects based in the US. It basically involves the use of IBI products and other technologies which CIS carries or supports.
With the current economic situation in the US, the cost-effective proposition may be a key competitive factor for IBI-US. Expected revenue in three years is forecast at $20 million.
"Since 1974, CIS has served as a domestic and international subcontractor and has remained as a strong reseller of our technology in Southeast Asia and in the Philippines. Pooling our resources will allow both companies to better serve our clients needs and broaden our horizontal technical skills," said Gerald Cohen, IBI founder and CEO.
The CIS has been leveraging IT to bring new opportunities and achieve business results for its customers. By using advanced training facilities and capitalizing on its global infrastructure backbone, it will work closely with IBI and iWay Software, an IBI company that accelerates business integration, to create superior transaction processing adapters.
The expanded partnership with IBI is in line with CIS goals to achieve good branding overseas and enter into global alliances.
