The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), through the Center for International Trade Expositions and Missions (CITEM), has endorsed www.city prosdb.com as the official registry of Filipino knowledge workers during the recent e-Services Philippines: An Outsourcing and SubCon Exhibit at the Philippine Trade and Training Center.
The government is now looking at the website as destination for companies looking for Filipino talent in various fields such as information technology, business and health, according to Josie Gonzales, IT-SED chief of CITEM.
"The main objective of this project is to come up with an inventory of Filipino IT professionals and entrepreneurs abroad who can be tapped for trade and investment promotions," Gonzales said.
People can register for free or for a minimal fee for premium subscription. One can do searches at the website by profession, industry, hobby or city.
During the exhibit, more than 500 people professionals, entrepreneurs, companies and students signed up.
The e-Services Philippines exhibit featured Filipino companies who provide world-class IT and IT-enabled services.
The exhibit also featured e-Trade, business product offerings via the Internet, "e-nnovations," schools and institutions with innovative IT projects that can be marketed, IT parks, consultancy firms, banks, publications and ISPs.
