Pepsi bids filtration needs via B2B site

Pepsi-Cola Products Phils. Inc. recently concluded the purchase of its filtration requirements through SourcePilipinas.com.

Five leading suppliers fielded 41 bids, yielding a winning bid that was 21 percent lower than Pepsi-Cola’s purchase price early this year.

Pepsi hosted an auction for three months’ supply of filter tubes, plain filter pads and carbon filter pads, all used in the production of its softdrinks and beverages.

"In line with out company’s objective of enhancing our competitive position, it is imperative to find a system that allows us to cut costs during these difficult times," Pepsi-Cola COO Jessie Domingo says.
