One of the country’s leading Internet players and forerunner in online lifestyle and city guides takes an aggressive step and transforms its website into the Philippine branch of a regional Asian network.
Localvibe.com, which has evolved into the country’s definitive online city guide and lifestyle magazine since it was introduced in January 1999, has relaunched itself as GetAsia.com.ph in its bold move to expand and answer the growing demand for leisure and entertainment information in the Philippines and in the whole of Asia.
After it merged with its closest competitors, LegManila.com and ClicktheCity.com, under the acquisition of GetAsia.com last November, the dynamic team behind Localvibe.com set about reinventing the former site as GetAsia.com.ph.
The product of those efforts is a brand new site with an exciting look and feel, packed daily with enhanced features and expanded content. GetAsia.com.ph presents a wide-angle view as well as in-depth reportage on the country’s most vibrant city.
"We are all very excited about this new development. Through our new site, we will be publishing more than ten times the amount of content that we used to deliver on Localvibe. We’ve added two new exciting channels, namely Tech which discusses the latest gadgets and technologies available in the market, and Chemistry, which focuses on sex and relationship. Plus, we will be offering new features like discussion boards. Who’s who shots, polls, and personality picks that will definitely enhance the reader’s experience of the site," says editor-in-chief Chuck Syjuco.
"We are very proud of the transformation to GetAsia.com.ph because it represents a Filipino company being elevated to a regional platform. Everything readers loved about Localvibe will still be on the new site, especially that fun, adventurous and intelligent voice that comes across in all our articles," added marketing manager Bernice Arcenas.
GetAsia.com is a US-registered Internet company with a network of lifestyle and entertainment websites across Asia.
