Abest taps 13 Pinoy software engineers

ABEST, a Taiwan-based leading supplier of multi-service broadband access equipment, recently opened a $2-million research and development (R&D) training facility in a 3,500-square-foot building at the Peoples Professional Park in Thomasville, North Carolina.

The facility houses the most complete state-of-the-art computer systems and automated software design tools.

ABEST partnered with Duke University, gathering a team of software development experts to handle the year-long training of 15 software engineers, 13 of whom are Filipinos.

The opening of the high-tech training center marks another milestone in ABEST’s commitment to long-term excellence in product design and service.

Aside from training software engineers, the facility may be expanded in the future to include a customer training center.

Dr. Larry Burton, ABEST president, led members of the board of directors in the opening of the ABEST training facility.
