LOS BAÑOS, Laguna, Philippines — Filipino camera buffs interested in joining a Southeast Asia-wide photography contest on climate and related subjects have until Nov. 30 to submit their entries to the contest organizer.
Focusing on the theme “Managing Climate Uncertainties and Scarcity of Water Resources,” the competition is sponsored by the Los Baños-based Southeast Asian Regional Center for Graduate Study and Research in Agriculture (SEARCA). Aside from Filipinos, qualified to participate in the competition are nationals of the 10 other countries that constitute the Southeast Asian Ministers of Education Organization.
The entries in the photography contest should have been taken in the region from Sept. 7 to Nov. 30.
Launched in 2006, the photography contest aims “to catch a glimpse of the contemporary images that easily capture the current and future endeavors of SEARCA’s major stakeholders – the agriculture and rural communities in Southeast Asia.”
