Anos book out

MANILA, Philippines - The book “Alfredo Anos, the Godfather of Filipino Inventors” was launched recently to give every Filipino a chance to learn of Anos’ genius and creativity.

Anos was a prolific inventor with 46 patents to his name and 200 other inventions with patents pending. These earned him two Presidential Gold Medals for earth-boring device, three presidential diplomas of merit for solar energy devices and apparatuses, seven Outstanding Filipino Inventor and Invention Awards and four successive International Awards from the United Nations – World Intellectual Property Organization for Outstanding Filipino Inventor for his “Solanos” thermal water pumping invention.

This book details his inventions that carved a niche in science and the humanities.

At age 13 Anos dropped out of school after his 6th grade English teacher said his brain was made of horse manure. He instead indulged in reading science and technology books.
