Carewell slates cancer patient forum on June 18
MANILA, Philippines - Did you know that stress could be a significant reason why you may have cancer? Learn more about the mind-body link and how stress affects the way your body responds to treatment.
The Cancer Resource and Wellness (Carewell) Community Foundation is organizing a one-day talk on the co-relation of stress and cancer, cost of treatment as a significant stressor to the patient and family, and provide a convenient opportunity to learn about organizations such as the PCSO, PhilHealth, Soroptimist International Ortigas, pharmaceutical companies, among others, that extend financial assistance for cancer treatment.
The patient forum, entitled “Cancer and Stress,†is scheduled on June 18, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., at the Carewell Community Office, 6/F S&L building, Esteban St., Legaspi Village, Makati City.
Established in 2006, Carewell is an organization that aims to provide social support to people affected by cancer through educational talks, counseling, support groups, wellness and other activities, at no cost to participants in service to the Philippine cancer community.
