Herbalife Phl releases new products

MANILA, Philippines - There is a need for quality calcium products as reflected in a survey conducted by the Philippine Food and Nutrition Research Institute of the Department of Science and Technology (FNRI-DOST) in 2008. 

The study also revealed that about 90 percent of Filipino households are not meeting the average requirements for calcium. Thus, only one in every 10 Filipino households meets the average requirement for calcium as the consumption of Filipinos for milk and milk products indicates a decrease by seven grams, from 49 grams per capita per day in 2003 to 42 grams per capita per day in 2008.

Calcium is a known antioxidant and anti-aging mineral that is a standard supplement used to treat and prevent osteoporosis. While more popular for its contributions to bone and teeth health, calcium aids in weight loss and heart health.
