MANILA, Philippines - How does one achieve true wellness?
According to a certified expert in aesthetic medicine, Dr. Mary Jane Torres, of The Zen Institute, true wellness does not happen simply by solving the problem area.
“At The Zen Institute, we go beyond quick-fixes, but instead offer a complete program,†she said.
The Zen Institute’s guiding philosophy is simple — the pursuit of true beauty is a journey rather than a destination; it veers away from the pressures that necessitate the use of invasive and potentially traumatic shortcuts.
Wellness is also about aesthetic lifestyle. This is the concept of Vietura. Being a wellness destination, Vietura is about finding the interconnection between aesthetic procedures, integrative medicine and lifestyle coaching.
“Take weight problems for example. You have excess fat, so you go for liposuction which is a quick fix. But that does not solve the real problem. It’s not simply the excess fat but the tendency to gain weight which is the real problem. If there are no in-depth changes in the patient, then he or she will simply gain the weight back,†Torres said.
Wellness is at the core of all of Torres’ treatment programs on facial contouring, body sculpting, and skin rejuvenation.
“In the case of liposuction, we don’t do the usual liposuction which is a surgical procedure. We use a non-invasive method called Mesolipo which goes with a complete weight management program,†she said.
The Zen Institute believes that from inner peace comes true beauty. With the harmonious combination of medical science, creativity and aesthetic sense, it pursues holistic health which, in turn, manifests itself in true beauty.
To successfully achieve the results desired, The Zen Institute applies a protocol-based approach with treatment frequency ranging from once a week to twice a month based on the individual’s needs. When complied with, results may appear in as little as two treatments — depending on the procedure.
Vietura’s highly trained and experienced team of experts include Torres; cosmetic dentist Cecilia Infantado, DMD; lifestyle coach Lisa Tilstra; and nutritionist Agnes Tumaneng
