MakatiMed is a mom’s best friend

MANILA, Philippines - The Makati Medical Center is mommy’s best friend as it provides complete pre-natal, maternal and pediatric services at baby-friendly prices.

The partnership begins at the start of a mom’s nine-month journey with MakatiMed’s Pre-Natal Care Package.

This package, developed by the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, includes 12 laboratory tests and ultrasound procedures necessary to ensure her well-being and her baby’s good health.

No need to constantly adjust the budget — this package comes with the all-in price of P13,400, plus an additional five percent discount for all repeat procedures requested by her MakatiMed ob-gyne.

Promo period runs until July 31, 2014.

Maternity packages

Is your baby about to arrive? No worries. MakatiMed is offering complete Maternity Packages, which include admission to a semi-private or small private room for Spontaneous Vaginal Delivery (SVD) or Cesarean Section Delivery (CS).

Each package is inclusive of room and board (two days for SVD and four days for CS), supplies and medicine, professional fees of the doctors and specialists, laboratory work, delivery room charges, and newborn services fees.

The MakatiMed Newborn Services Unit is now at its newly renovated location at the end of Hall B, fifth floor, Tower 1. The new site, now closer to the Delivery Room, boasts of a brighter, more relaxed environment for moms and babies.

Newborn Services provides immediate care for all newborns delivered in MakatiMed. As a Department of Health-accredited “mother-baby-friendly” hospital, MakatiMed promotes rooming-in and breastfeeding for babies.

Special gifts

Babies born in MakatiMed will receive a complimentary MakatiMed “My Child’s Health Record” Book and an exclusive MakatiMed Baby Bag.

The MakatiMed Baby Bag is a lightweight carry-on tote bag with pockets and a diaper changing mat. It comes in brown, with either pink or blue accent.

The 6 x 7.5-inch “My Child’s Health Record” Book will be a mom’s reference book starting on her baby’s first pediatric check-up. This book is perfect for doctors to jot down notes about a child’s health and development, as well as special instructions to guide a mom whenever her and her baby visit a pediatrician in MakatiMed.

The new parents will also receive the Mommy & Baby Kit, filled with essential products to help moms and dads keep themselves and their babies comfortable and happy.

These gifts are exclusively available to MakatiMed patients (corporate, HMO or private) availing themselves of private or packaged maternity procedures (private room accommodation).

Pediatrics

MakatiMed’s care does not end with a child’s birth. MakatiMed’s Department of Pediatrics provides exceptional healthcare to children from birth up to age 18.

Dedicated pediatricians and sub-specialists are available for monthly check-ups and immunizations, as well as consultations for various concerns such as skin allergies, asthma, diarrhea, tummy aches, heart and blood problems, delay in movement, speech and growth, and problems with attention spans and hyperactivity.

Specialized services, such as the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) and the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU), address the needs of critically ill children, premature newborns or infants requiring close observation. 

Aside from these packages and services, the Ob-Gyne and Pediatrics departments also hold regular lay forums, such as the Pregnancy and Beyond and Pedia Talk lecture series, to further educate parents about a host of issues and concerns affecting children and their families.
