New brighter space, special gifts for MakatiMed newborns

The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines - Makati Medical Center has new and exciting things in store for newborn babies at its newly relocated Newborn Services Unit, now at its recently renovated location at the end of Hall B, fifth floor, Tower 1.

Now strategically closer to the delivery room, the new site boasts a brighter, more relaxed environment for moms and babies. Newborn Services provides immediate care for all newborns delivered in MakatiMed.

As a Department of Health-accredited “mother-baby-friendly” hospital, MakatiMed promotes rooming in and breastfeeding for babies.

Special gifts also await little ones at this new location, as babies born in MakatiMed receive complimentary treats: an exclusive MakatiMed baby bag, a lightweight carry-on brown tote bag (with pink or blue accents) with pockets and a diaper changing mat; and the 6 x 7.5-inch lime green MakatiMed “My Child’s Health Record” Book, perfect for doctors to jot down notes on a child’s health and development during a visit to the pediatrician.

Mommies and their newborns will continue to receive the Mommy and Baby Kit, filled with essential products to help parents keep their babies comfortable and happy.

This perk is exclusively available to MakatiMed patients (corporate, HMO or private) availing themselves of private or packaged maternity procedures (private room accommodation).

The Pediatric Intensive Care Unit and the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, which address the needs of critically ill children, premature newborns or infants requiring close observation, have also moved to their new location at the end of Hall A, fifth floor, Tower 1.
