MANILA, Philippines - The Singapore Radiological Society and College of Radiologists of Singapore recently held the 22nd Annual Scientific Meeting (SRS & CRS 22nd ASM), incorporating the annual 6th Nuclear Medicine Update, and a post-conference AIRP Radiologic-Pathology (RAD-PATH) course at the NUHS Tower Block Auditorium in Singapore.

This year’s theme, “Advances in Oncologic Imaging and Therapy,” and the whole program were developed to address several clinical and basic science tracks in a more comprehensive manner wherein international and local experts from diagnostic radiology, radiation oncology and nuclear medicine could participate.

During the event, Dr. Maria Alegria Almazar, together with Dr. Victoria Gonzalez, residents of the Pediatrics Department of De La Salle University Medical Center, presented their research papers.

Almazar’s research paper, “A Comparison of the Accuracy of Four Different Computed Tomography Scan Diameter Methods in Measuring the Volume of Intracerebral Hemorrhage Versus Computer Assisted Planimetric Analysis,” was awarded third place for Best Oral Paper Presentation, from among other presenters who came from different parts of the world.
