• Sweat, movement and heat attract mosquitoes. When people exercise, they exhale more carbon dioxide. They also sweat more. Unfortunately, mosquitoes are attracted to the scent of sweat.  The combination of sweat, carbon dioxide, plus a person’s movement and body heat make him or her a good target for mosquitoes. This explains why active children often come home with mosquito bites on their bodies.
