MANILA, Philippines - The second phase of pre-registration for the 102nd Annual Convention and Scientific Meeting of the Philippine Dental Association set on Oct. 19-24 at the SMX Convention Center, Mall of Asia Complex in Pasay City, is ongoing until July 17.
According to Dr. Roberto Tajonera, PDA president-elect and general chairman of the annual convention, early registrants can avail themselves of a special rate of P2,300 and have a chance to win any of the seven major prizes — panoramic X-ray machine, two dental chairs, P200,000 in cash, cordless LED light curing unit, and two autoclaves.
With the theme “For Stronger and Globally Competitive Philippine Dentistry,” the annual convention will feature scientific sessions, which will empower the general practitioner thorough interdisiplinary dentistry.
There are already confirmed 20 foreign and 30 local lecturers.
The event is expected to draw 16,000 dentists, dental technicians, and dental hygienists from all over the country.
As mandated by the New Dental Law (Republic Act 9484), under Article 4 Section 29, Code of Ethics Article 2 Section 12, and Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) Resolution 2008-465, Tajonera said all registered professional dentists, dental technicians and dental hygienists must be professionally fit and should participate in Continuing Dental Education (CDE).
Participants in the convention will be entitled to 12 CPE credit units.
There will be 333 dental trade exhibitors, which will showcase the latest in the dental world and will offer promos and big discounts.
