MakatiMed sets pain management workshop
MANILA, Philippines - Always at the forefront of continuous medical education, MakatiMed presents a pain management workshop featuring Dr. Ramon Santos-Ocampo, head of MakatiMed Radiology, and visiting Australian specialist Dr. Murray Grant Taverner, on April 20.
The exclusive lecture will feature new technologies in pain management to address conditions such as arthritis, back pain, and post-surgical inflammation issues in the spinal canal.
The event also aims to train doctors and nurses for the wider adoption of radiofrequency ablation of the nerve and epineurolysis.
“MakatiMed is currently the only institute that does CT-guided foraminal steroid injections. Usually, you are treated with surgery, but these new technologies are minimally invasive procedures,” Ocampo said.
