Science of language explored
MANILA, Philippines - People all share themselves in a river of words as they swim in languages that allow them to connect with one another.
Whether they prefer to talk, text or work with words as they craft, people are what they say, read or write.
Café Scientifique waxes poetic in exploring the science of language — how humans developed it and how people hone it — with cognitive psychologist Emy Liwag and poet Patrick Rosal on Saturday, Sept. 26, 3 to 5 p.m. at R.O.X., Bonifacio High Street, Bonifacio Global City, Taguig.
This event is free and open to the public. There are limited seats, with standing room.
Liwag is a professor of psychology at the Ateneo de Manila University and an enthusiastic member of the Exhibit Advisory Council of The Mind Museum.
Rosal is a US-based author of two full-length award-winning poetry collections, Uprock Headspin Scramble and Dive, and most recently My American Kundiman.
