MANILA, Philippines - Zen Health, the first total wellness magazine in the country, will be formally launched on Monday at the Edsa Shangri-La Hotel.
Top celebrities and media friends will join editor-in-chief Cory Quirino in a unique and meaningful program to celebrate the birth of the magazine.
Zen Health recognizes the importance of espousing a healthy lifestyle and positive mindset to achieve optimal integration of mind, body and spirit with total wellness as its end-result.
The full-color glossy magazine provides highly informative articles on pointers to achieve total wellness, as well as natural ways to enhance mind and body, natural beauty and age-defying treatments.
Articles on spiritual enhancement and development, and other healthy practices for enhancing total wellness are also contained in its well-designed pages.
Dawn Zulueta, who graced the maiden issue cover, and Gabby Concepcion, who reveals the secrets of his charisma in the second issue as its cover celebrity, are expected to be those present during the launch.
Also included in the second issue, which is now available at National Bookstore and other leading magazine outlets, are home remedies even doctors recommend, detox courses, natural wonders for the aging skin, recommended anti-aging products, beautifying and energizing crystals, and many more.
Fitness features include simple but fun exercises; pole dancing as demonstrated by its pioneer in the country, Ed Aniel; and neurobics, a fun and novel way of exercising one’s brain to prevent dementia or Alzheimer’s disease.
Exercise comes hand-in-hand with eating right, as the second issue of Zen Health also tells about the wonders of asparagus; the blossoming dishes from Sonya’s Garden in Tagaytay City; and the anti-aging marvels of alkaline water.
But what are all these without genuine happiness and peace radiating from one’s inner self?
Zen Health gives readers Suzanne Somers’ eight steps to wellness, from her book “Breakthrough”; provides tips on how to transform one’s home into a haven of relaxation; and teaches how to modify the five basic needs to survive stress.
Jaime Licauco also writes about the healing power of meditation, and George Sison explains the amazing changes that regular positive affirmation can bring to make one a winner through positive thinking.
“With Zen Health, your journey to wellness begins,” says Quirino.
Zen Health is published by FAME Inc., which also publishes Health and Lifestyle, Travel Plus and DiabetEASE.
