The 10th Eurasia Conference on the Chemical Sciences will be held at the Philippine International Convention Center on Jan. 7 to 11.

The conference will have a scientific session, a technology fair (Eurasia T2ECH Fair) and a Nobel Forum on the theme “Science and Innovation.”

The Tech Fair and Nobel Forum are open to the public.

The seven plenary lectures in the 10th Eurasia Conference will include four Nobel Prize winners in Chemistry.

The Nobel Forum will consist of 10-minute talks by the Nobel speakers, followed by comments from two panelists. An open forum will follow the panel discussion.

The four Nobel laureates are Israel’s Aaron Ciechanover (Nobel Prize in Chemistry, 2004), Taiwan’s Yuan Tseh Lee (1986), Germany’s Hartmut Michel (1988), and Japan’s Ryori Noyori (2001).

The panel discussants are Dr. Emil Javier, president of the National Academy of Science and Technology, for the science sector; and Dr. Lucio Tan, chairman of the Lucio Tan Group of Companies, for the business sector.
