Virgin coconut oil and the rainy season

In the Philippines, the highest sales of antibiotics are recorded during the rainy season. It is the season ruled by cough and colds, influenza and other related viral diseases.

Recently, a more deadly disease has been added to the roster – SARS and bird flu – known to surface during the cold and wet weather.

MCFAs kill bad bacteria but leave the good bacteria in the gut unharmed.
