Updates on Parkinson’s disease up in forum

The Parkinson’s Support Group of the Philippines (PSGP) Foundation will be hold a meeting on Jan. 8 at 12 noon at the 14th floor auditorium of the Cathedral Heights building complex (CHBC) South Tower of St. Luke’s.

Sponsored by Boehringer-Ingelheim and St. Luke’s Medical Center, the meeting is free and open to the public.

The PSGP, a registered non-profit organization founded in 1999, aims to provide families and patients with Parkinson’s disease, parkinsonism, tremor, dystonia, and other movement disorders with information about their affliction.

Its founding chairman was the late former Vice President Emmanuel Pelaez.

During the meeting, updates on the latest research studies on the medical and surgical management of Parkinson’s disease and other parkinsonian syndromes will be discussed by US-based movement disorder specialist Dr. Virgilio Gerald Evidente.

The lecture will be followed by an open forum.
