Enhancing child devt with the Smart System

For their childs optimum brain and body development, parents can begin enhancing his growth starting from infancy through a series of highly interactive programs.
Mead Johnson, one of the worlds leading manufacturers of infant milk formulas, has compiled these child enrichment programs under the "Generation Enfa Smart System."
Generation Enfa Smart System is a series of special tools utilized for supporting the optimum development of a childs brain. It is divided into three instruction components that focus on sight, sound, and proper nutrition.
The first of these involves the use of certain strains of classical music applied on babies, a practice with which many parents are already familiar with. Smart Symphonies, as this is known, is based on findings that classical music may help stimulate brain activity associated with developing Math and Science skills. Studies also suggest that the rhythm, pitch and frequency of music may enhance language acquisition.
The second, called Smart Play, involves age-appropriate educational toys based on a childs developmental milestones. For infants zero to six months, exposure to red, black and white patterns is one way to stimulate the infants visual senses. From six to 18 months, other primary colored patterns and educational toys like stacking rings and soft blocks may be given to the child. From one year old and up, building blocks, puzzles and push-and-pull toys may be introduced.
Finally, there is Smart Nutrition, which gives emphasis on the proper nutritional ingredients needed by children, and on the right stages of growth they should be given. Mead Johnsons Enfa line of milk formulas, such as Enfagrow and Enfakid, contain a fatty acid called docosahexaenoic acid or DHA, which is a primary building block of human brain and retinal tissue.
To help more people understand better the principles behind the Generation Enfa Smart System, Mead Johnson has come up with a "Smart corner" in selected establishments, where a prominent module provides the public with a more detailed explanation of Smart Symphonies, Smart Play and Smart Nutrition.
Theres also a section on Prenatal Care Program. Pregnant mothers who wish to register for free will be able to join free pre-natal classes and receive a regular newsletter via mail containing pregnancy tips, early child rearing, and other helpful information.
Whats more, those who shop at Baby Land (Alabang Town Center), Enfant (Festival Mall), Chicco (SM-North EDSA) and Mother Care (Shangri-La) stores and purchase at least P500 worth of products will be given the chance to draw a coupon entitling them to receive free premium items such as bags, instructional toys, Smart Symphony CDs, coloring books, stickers and some products from the Enfa line of milk formulas.
