Best Western opens new Subic Bay midscale hotel
MANILA, Philippines - Best Western Hotels & Resorts has unveiled a new midscale hotel in the Philippines.
Located at Subic Bay approximately 100 kilometers north of Manila, the new Best Western Plus Hotel Subic is the first midscale hotel in the area affiliated with an international brand.
Set in a brand-new building that exudes contemporary style, Best Western Plus Hotel Subic offers 77 midscale rooms, all featuring flat-screen TVs, mini-bars, and complimentary Wi-Fi. The hotel also features a range of facilities for both business and leisure travelers.
“The Philippines is an incredibly important market for Best Western, and I am delighted to be able to welcome guests to our first ever hotel in Subic Bay – another exciting destination for our company,” said Olivier Berrivin, Best Western Hotels & Resorts’ managing director of international operations – Asia.
The hotel is strategically located near the city, shopping malls, and corporate offices of business locators in the Freeport Zone, creating a suitable venue for businessmen to hold conferences and other corporate events.
“The Subic Bay Freeport Zone is a vitally important industrial area for the Philippines, and the broader Asia Pacific region. And the area’s impressive beaches and marine attractions are making Subic Bay an increasingly popular tourism destination. I am confident that Best Western Plus Hotel Subic will become a key addition to the area’s travel and hospitality landscape,” Berrivin added.
“Our global brand is known for cutting-edge facilities, expert management and first-rate maintenance, and we made sure to fit all of those with the unique flavor of Filipino hospitality and culture,” Best Western Plus Subic’s co-owner and COO Moishe Gordon explained. “We’re committed to providing superior customer care. That’s how Best Western Plus Hotel Subic plans to complete a visitor’s stay in this side of the country.”
This branch of the renowned hotel chain is also the first worldwide to use the new Best Western logo and identity. The old logo, which had been around for 22 years, was updated to a modernized and neater version in order to broaden the appeal of the brand, particularly among millennials.
