Micara supports DENR’s ‘Adopt-A-River’ Program
MANILA, Philippines – Micara Land, Inc. (MLI) joined the coastal cleanup of the Department of Environment and Natural Resources – Environmental Management Bureau (DENR-EMB) for the second time last month in celebration of the International Orchestrated Coastal Cleanup.
Joining the event with the theme “Bayanihan Para Sa Malinis Na Katubigan At Karagatan,” MLI, along with Barangay Sahud-Ulan officials and other river adopters, cleaned up its adopted river, Rio de Obispo, in Barangay Sahud-Ulan, Tanza, Cavite.
The first time MLI joined DENR-EMB’s coastal cleanup was on June 27, 2015 as part of the Nationwide Orchestrated Cleanup, in celebration of Philippine Environmental Month.
DENR-EMB recognized the support of the adopters in the rehabilitation of the river and other water bodies. MLI supports this project as part of its “Alaga ang Kalikasan” advocacy.
