Two new Robinsons malls open in September

The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines - Robinsons Land Corp. (RLC) is set to open new malls in Las Piñas and Antipolo by September this year as the Gokongwei-led property firm continues on its rapid expansion program.

Robinsons Place Las Piñas along the Alabang-Zapote Road and Robinsons Place Antipolo along Sumulong Highway are both currently under construction.

The Las Piñas edifice is part of a mixed-use development comprising the mall and a mid-rise residential condominium complex of Robinsons Communities.

“With its proximity to other densely populated areas such as Alabang, Muntinlupa, Paranãque and Bacoor, Las Piñas truly represents an enticing location for doing business,” said RLC senior vice president and general manager for the commercial centers division Arlene Magtibay.

She noted that Las Piñas has a population of over half a million people and, counting those from nearby municipalities, the mall will serve a total population of over two million.

Magtibay added that the mall site has 300 subdivisions within a five-kilometer radius as well as schools, hospitals and over 700 commercial establishments.

Being built on a 6.8-hectare lot, the sprawling two-story mall will have a gross floor area of 59,877 square meters and a gross leasable area of 25,734 square meters. It will also have basement and open parking areas with over 500 slots.

Robinsons Place Las Piñas will offer the full  range of dining  options including fastfood, casual dining restaurants, and al fresco restaurants as well as coffee shops and a 214-seat food court.

Meanwhile, Robinsons Place Antipolo will be part of a 16-hectare, mixed-use complex, composed of a mall, a terminal and a subdivision of Robinsons Homes.

“The two-level full service mall will provide residents the convenience of the modern malling lifestyle without having to venture too far from home,” Magtibay said.

The mall is strategically located along Sumulong Highway at the corner of Circumferential Road which is also near the municipalities of Rodriguez, San Mateo, Taytay, Cainta, Tanay, Teresa and Baras.

“The close proximity of Antipolo to Metro Manila and its accessibility to other nearby towns will surely make Robinsons Place Antipolo the favorite leisure and shopping destination of the area,” said Magtibay.

Robinsons Place Antipolo will occupy a 5.7- hectare lot with a gross floor area of 43,000 square meters and a gross leasable area of 26,400 square meters.

The mall will have over 200 supporting tenants and anchor tenants, which include

Robinsons Supermarket, Robinsons Department Store, Handyman, Robinsons Appliance Center and Robinsons Bank.

It will have four digital cinemas, including one 3D cinema, an amusement center, and a food court. The mall will also have an outside parking area with a total of 604 parking slots.
Since the mall is being built 100 meters above sea level, it will take advantage of the cool climate by having plenty of alfresco areas, landscape and water features to also blend with the local scenery.
