RLC promotes community stewardship

MANILA, Philippines - Robinsons Land Corporation adds new meaning to building homes by thrusting its corporate social responsibility in the new TV5 show, Extreme Makeover Home Edition.

Hoping to revive the age-old Filipino concept of ‘Bayanihan’ and ‘Kapatiran’, the premier property developer has pledged to support the new program which aims to drive less-fortunate individuals by inspiring them with homes that have been rebuilt and they can take pride in. This project will jumpstart Robinsons Land Corporation’s corporate social responsibility program of community stewardship as it recognizes a greater corporate role in society.

More than just delivering quality products and services to customers, the company is an active supporter of local residents and various organizations and assists the less fortunate in the communities it does business in.

Through Extreme Makeover Home Edition, all RLC Business Units are able to get together and contributed to the life-changing effort. These units are the Commercial Centers Division, Office Buildings Division, Luxuria and Residences, Communities, and Homes.

RLC’s wide-range of expertise is utilized extensively for the success of every project – starting with the home of a public school teacher in Meycauayan, Bulacan. Apart from RLC, other industry professionals will share their expertise in the program’s home construction projects, known as the Extreme Makeover: Home Edition Philippines’ Design Team.

The group is comprised of interior designer and socialite-philanthropist Tessa Prieto-Valdez, fashion model Divine Lee (who serves as Project Manager), professional interior designer Tristan Jovellana (carpentry and DIY-guy, in charge of special projects such as creating rooms suited to the needs of each family), and interior design consultants Marilen Faustino-Montenegro and Joby Belmonte.
