The thrills of living in Golf View Terraces

MANILA, Philippines - So how’s the weather up there? Well, according to PAG-ASA’s recent announcement, this year’s summer season is expected to be much cooler than last year’s due to the prevailing La Niña phenomenon, which bring with it more rains. This means that those who live on higher ground benefit more from the cooler temperatures.

Fortunate for the residents of the Golf View Terraces in South Forbes Golf City is the country’s largest fully-integrated and all-themed golf resort city at the forefront of the Metro Sta. Rosa – Tagaytay corridor, and recipient of the Best Golf Community Development by the 2007 CNBC International Property Awards, the world’s most prestigious property awards programme, and, recently, the Highly Commended Award for Best Development by the 2010 Bloomberg Asia-Pacific Residential Award, they will enjoy nippy mornings and chilly evenings.

The Golf View Terraces cluster is a row of low-rise condominiums along the ridge of the rolling hills of the whole South Forbes development. The structures themselves are not obtrusive in that it conforms to the natural features of the site; hence, the terrace design, much like a flight of stairs.

The best views, of course, are along the manicured fairways of the golf course. Located on higher elevation, the Golf View Terraces cluster is the perfect vantage point to see the site’s inner beauty of rolling terrain meandering streams, lush forests, and calm lakes.

And most of the residential units have balconies where residents can appreciate, nay indulge in, the view. Even units located on the opposite side are designed as Z-lofts so that these too have fairway view. Not only is the view precious, but those balconies can be hang-outs to enjoy the lovely Tagaytay-like breeze, and this summer, may even feel like Baguio.

Each building in the cluster has a different mix of unit types. The first building, Pebble Beach, has a combination of 1-bedroom, 2-bedroom, and 3-bedroom units, both standard and loft formats. The second building, called Augusta, studio units have been introduced.

The typical 1-bedroom loft model unit was designed to take you back to the original period of “cool” with a retro look. Upon entering, the open double-volume living-dining-kitchen areas are done mostly in white with stark touches of bright orange. The white sectional sofa becomes the ideal hangout where the family or visiting friends can crash and watch the latest shows on the flat screen TV. The dining area features four orange Panton chairs around a sleek, white dining table while kitchen appliances supply the metallic element to the whole palette.

The grass is always greener and the weather cooler here. Move in right here, right now. Call 635-7777 or 631-8855 for a free city tour or log on to www.southforbes.com for more information.
