MANILA, Philippines - Phinma Property Holdings Corp., the country’s leading developer of medium-cost condominiums, has unveiled its biggest project to date, a P1.8-billion residential community in Alabang covering an area of 3.5 hectares.
This as the company revealed that it is looking at developing other projects, all within Metro Manila, such as in Pasay or downtown Manila. Phinma is also considering developing 15-storey condominium buildings.
Phinma Properties president and CEO Willie Uy said the development called Asya Enclaves Alabang will have three, low-density Asian-inspired enclaves characterized by generous open spaces and will uphold the company’s tradition of offering the best value-for-money condos and fast turnover of units. All 14 buildings scattered in the three enclaves will have seven storeys each.
Uy in an interview also revealed that Phinma continues to be committed to the affordable market sector, which is the largest market. “For this market alone, there is around 85,000 to 90,000 backlog in Metro Manila. And the industry can only build less than 15,000 a year,” he said. The affordable market accounts for about 20 percent of the total.
As for the entire housing sector, Uy said it is still suffering from a backlog of around 3.8 million houses.
The first phase of the project will be called Ohara Enclave, and will consist of five buildings, three of which will be ready by end of this year and the rest by the first semester of 2012. It will be designed in a modern Japanese theme. Aside from the project’s main gate and guardhouse, Ohara Enclave will also have its own guardhouse and pocket playground assuring residents exclusivity and security. Ohara will have a total of 644 units.
The second phase, Sena Enclave, will have a Thai-inspired theme, while the third phase, called Tirta, will carry an Indonesian-inspired design. Consistent with the exclusivity and security of the Ohara Enclave, Sena and Tirta will each have its own guardhouse, pocket garden and playground as well.
Uy said they expect the entire project to be complete in two and a half years time.
Residents of Asya Enclaves Alabang will be able to enjoy leisure, recreation activities and parties in the central amenities block which will have the clubhouse and function hall. The resident’s children will have a fun time taking a dip in the kiddie pool while adults will be able to soak up the sun and relax in the main pool. Those with more active needs can spend time in the fitness hub.
Phinma vice president for marketing, sales and design Grant Orbeta said that the company has re-invented condominium living by mixing qualities of affordability, low-density and exclusivity into one development.
