Healthy lifestyle at The Peak

Manila, Philippines - Landco Pacific Corporation, the developer of high-end leisure, urban and hometown communities, concludes its Leisure as a Lifestyle event series with the “Healthy Eating For A Healthy Lifestyle” event held at The Peak, Terrazas De Punta Fuego, last November 13, 2010.

The four part event series was a celebration of Landco’s 20 years in the business as the purveyor of leisure land developments and as a commemoration of their brand promise, “Life at Your Leisure”. 2010 marked Landco’s 20th anniversary as the leading developer of high-end leisure communities.

Terrazas de Punta Fuego’s The Peak is marketed for those who want to live in both style and luxury amidst the serenity of nature. Located at the highest point of Terrazas, residents will wake up every day to the magnificent view of lush greens and the spectacular mountain range. And, being part of the premier residential resort, one can expect no less than world-class leisure amenities which everyone in the family can surely enjoy.

In line with the Healthy Lifestyle theme, Club Punta Fuego’s director of operations and executive chef Mikel Arriet prepared a sumptuous, yet healthy four course lunch for all present. In the menu were fresh vegetable rolls with macadamia nut sauce; Gazpacho, Spanish cold soup with vegetables, olive oil, and bread; Gnocchi with fresh tomato & basil and yogurt with fresh mango and walnuts. According to Chef Mikel, his inspiration for coming up with the menu was Club Punta Fuego, “Where you have your own space which is free from pollution and stress, in full connection with the earth, sea and mountains”.

After lunch, YogaKids certified instructor Michelle Aventajado taught the young ones the benefits of yoga through reciting positive affirmations (mantras) crafting, singing, dancing and of course holding asanas (yoga poses). The YogaKids program proves beneficial as it gives kids the tools to live a life of wellness, making it easier for them to make healthy choices — saying no to drugs, saying yes to eating healthy, etc.— as they grow.

In line with the event theme “Healthy Eating For A Healthy Lifestyle” an art workshop for kids was held offering ‘edible art’ to the children’s delight — they gobbled up their works of art. Meanwhile, other guests enjoyed spa and aromatherapy treatments — foot reflexology, hand rubs, shoulder and head massages from Spaholics.
