Nuvocity construction in full swing

MANILA, Philippines - Construction of the mixed use development Nuvocity, the flagship project of Nuvoland Philippines located in C5 corner Industria St. in bustling Libis, Quezon City, is in full swing.

The construction activities are underway with the residential condominium Aspire tower, the first out of the eight planned high rise residential and office buildings in the 4.6 hectare development. Completion of Aspire tower is scheduled for 2012.

The Aspire tower, which is 48 floors and has a project cost of P2 billion, is being implemented by German general contractor Beton Bau with CMG Solutions Inc. as project managers. Currently, the Aspire tower is on schedule, with progress accomplishment already reaching the 7th floor.

Rally Martinez, president of Nuvoland, said that the newest construction methodology has been used for Aspire tower and the Nuvocity development, to ensure on timely completion with the highest quality standard.

Plans for the second residential tower are being finalized and construction is scheduled to commence in 2011, as part of the 10 year development program for Nuvocity. Once completed all the five residential towers shall be connected to one another on the 6th floor, which is the amenity level.

The combined amenity levels of the five residential towers, will form the Fifth Facade, which is the view of the residents above the tower looking down.

The Fifth Facade will be an overlay of all the sports facilities, playgrounds, parks and open spaces covering an area of 10, 500 square meters. The Fifth Facade will provide the Nuvocity community with five swimming pools, basketball/volleyball courts, three badminton courts, two tennis courts, futsal fields , five fitness gyms and a jogging path 2 kms meters long, making it the most extensive recreational complex for an inner city development in Metro Manila. 

The concept of the Fifth Facade was developed by Nuvocity’s masterplanner, Edmonds Int’l., as a way to adapt the horizontal neighborhood concept of sharing recreational facilities in a vertical community context.

It is also meant to address the growing need for a greener environment conducive for socializing for the condominium residents.
