RESA Board and SCAD Chairman at June 11 CREBA North Luzon Conference
MANILA, Philippines - The First North Luzon Regional Real Estate & Housing Conference of the Chamber of Real Estate & Builders’ Associations, Inc. (CREBA) to be held on June 11, 2010, Friday at the Ciudad Fernandino Hotel & Restaurant, Nancayasan, McArthur Hi-way, Urdaneta City will be highlighted by the presence of Honorable Eduardo G. Ong, chairman of the Professional Regulatory Board of Real Estate Service (PRB-RES) who is expected to speak on the draft implementing rules and regulation of the new real estate service act (or RESA) under the Professional Regulatory Commission, and Secretary Nestor S. Mangio, chairman of the Subic-Clark Alliance for Development (SCAD).
This was announced by Florentino S. Dulalia, Jr., national president of CREBA. The event is organized by regional vice-president for North Luzon, Phil B. Delfino as conference chairman and hosted by the CREBA-Pangasinan Chapter led by Engr. Leo Sy. Realtor Bobby Sy is conference vice-chairman.
CREBA is umbrella organization of professionals and entities engaged in real estate and housing development, tourism facilities, building and construction, technical consultancy, marketing and other related services. With its advocacy programs and initiatives, it has become government’s strongest ally in pursuing a truly rational and affordable national housing program.
According to Dulalia, the Northern Luzon Conference is the first of a series of four conferences all over the country designed to address the specific concerns of businessmen and other professionals on issues and trends that directly impact real estate and housing, as well as its allied industries and professions. It aims to develop the potential of more stakeholders by building their capacities in finance, construction and marketing, and encouraging them to develop new communities and infrastructure, thereby spurring over-all economic activity in as many areas as possible.
Other topics and speakers include: Development Rules, Procedures & Licenses by HLURB Regional Director Atty. Teresita V. Galacgac; Classification, Reclassification and Conversion of Lands by DAR Director Atty. Rodolfo B. M. Bueno; Documentation Procedures and Detection of Fake Titles by LRA Manager Engr. Emilio S. Pugongan; and Updates on Taxation and Other Real Estate-related Issuances by BIR Assistant Chief for Large Taxpayers’ Division Cecilia Campos.
The event is sponsored by the Home Development Mutual Fund (Pag-IBIG Fund), and Rizal Commercial Banking Corporation (RCBC) whose end-users’ and developers’ loan programs in the regions shall also be discussed.
