Water-saving products unveiled

MANILA, Philippines - Recent news reports predict the current water shortage to get worse in the coming months. Because of this people have become more conscious about water conservation.

American Standard, a leading global provider of bathroom fittings and fixtures, is encouraging homeowners and building developers to actively take part in conserving water by using products that reduce overall water usage.

“To help conserve water we have a line of products designed to reduce overall water usage in homes and buildings,” according to Lino Bernardo, country manager of American Standard Philippines Limited.

“American Standard recognizes its immense responsibility to protect one of the world’s most precious resources — water. We engineer bathroom products that use less water while providing excellent performance and cutting-edge designs that offer customers choices for any lifestyle,” Bernardo explained.

For many years American Standard has been coming up with products that reduce water usage. For example, almost all faucets produced by the company are equipped with a Ceramic Disc Cartridge that is guaranteed to not leak for life. The discs are made out of Alumina Oxide that is tested to operate over 1.5 million on/off cycles without failure, ensuring lifetime drip-free use. Furthermore, selected faucets utilize the new Click Technology. These faucets can automatically reduce water usage by up to 50% through the Water Saving Variable Control function.

American Standard offers water closets designed to reduce water usage. While most water closets use up to 6 liters of water per flush (LPF), American Standard has a line of water closets that use up only 3 to 4.5 LPF with it’s Dual Flush feature.

The company also has a selection of water closets with enclosed trap ways that conceal the sides of the toilet bowl, making it easier to clean as one has to wipe only the outer ceramic.
