MANILA, Philippines - Visitors to the beach island of Boracay who want to enjoy its world-famous allure in world-class facilities away from the madding crowd can have the best of both worlds with the recent opening of Monaco Suites de Boracay, the only exclusive all-suite hotel in the island.

Sitting on Boracay’s southeast seaside hill, the Mediterranean-inspired property boasts of first-rate amenities and a private beach. Each villa has a roofdeck and has a different elevation to offer every suite an unobstructed view of the sea.

Accredited as a triple-A hotel resort by the Department of Tourism (DOT), Monaco Suites has 14 luxurious villas with 50 well-appointed suites—35 90-square meter one-bedroom suites and 15 140-square meter two-bedroom suites.

“With the opening of Monaco Suites, we are offering guests a new dimension of luxury and the best value there is in Boracay,” says hotel president Jochen Buskowitz.

A German national married to a Filipina from Cebu, he is a pioneer in the island who put up the Paradise Garden Resort Hotel in 1985, the first Class A resort to build a swimming pool in Boracay.

Banking on their more than two decades of experience in the hospitality industry, Buskowitz brought his expertise in hotel operations to provide discerning vacationers luxurious accommodations and service at very reasonable rates.

“Monaco Suites takes pride in its first-class amenities such as landscaped tropical gardens, dolphin-shaped infinity pool, outdoor jacuzzi, gym and holistic wellness spa spread over a 1.6-hectare sprawling hillside. Our Mediterranean ambiance and quality materials transport visitors to the European hideaway of Monaco,” enthused Buskowitz who considers Boracay the best beach in the world.

Each room is equipped with LCD televisions at the bedroom and living room, fitted kitchen with private countertop bar, classy duvet covered king-size bed, a stylish bathroom, and seaside balcony.

To ensure guests’ privacy, Monaco Suites has built its own access road and private beach and jetty which can ferry guests to and from the Caticlan port. Mobility is no problem with the hotel’s round-the-clock shuttle service to key points in the island.

Beach bums who want to frolic in the clear waters of White Beach, the hotel has a changing area near Boat Station 2 equipped with a shower room and snack bar.

For those who want to own a piece of paradise, Monaco Suites is offering units for sale, one of the few properties in the island up for private ownership. The units can be leased out by the hotel when not in use so owners can generate income for their investment.

Completing the Mediterranean experience is the resort’s fine dining restaurant which takes visitors to a gustatory adventure with its international cuisine prepared by its Austrian chef.
