The Zest of Summer

MANILA, Philippines - Like autumn without falling leaves, you can’t call it summer without the sun.

“Summer has always been about having fun under the sun that’s why Marquee Place presented fun activities that catered to kids and adults alike,” says Rufino Gutierrez, division manager for project development of Alveo Land.

Children of all ages gathered and created their original kite designs at the Touch the Sky booth. This activity allowed kids to have fun while bringing out their artistic skills. “After they had designed their own kites, they went out to the expansive lawns of Marquee Place to fly their creations,” shares Gutierrez.

Others preferred to spend their summer afternoon the popular way—swimming. At the Take the Plunge activity, kids and grown-ups splashed at Marquee Place’s infinity pool. Dressed in their colorful swimsuits and gears, guests also had a chance to have their pictures taken and printed as souvenirs. 

For those who preferred to sit and relax on a sunny afternoon, Marquee Place had it covered with Cool It Off, a refreshments booth that featured a variety of fresh fruit shakes and tasty halo-halo. “Of course, summer would not be complete without refreshing and energy boosting drinks and sweet delights,” adds Gutierrez.

Marquee Place truly captures summer in a fun and relaxing way—just like how its unique community features such as its Social Zone that has a clubhouse, a multi-purpose area and a lap pool answers to the leisure and relaxation needs of its residents.
