Avida set to deliver 2,000 units this year
MANILA, Philippines - Driven by the insight that real estate brands are primarily made or broken during tough times, Avida, the affordable housing arm of Ayala Land is committed to deliver at least 2,000 residential units in two major land and house projects and four residential buildings as scheduled in 2009.
Spearheading the list of new Avida communities that will take shape and offer a superior quality of life to homeowners in the next few months is Avida Settings Nuvali. Nuvali is envisioned as a 1,600 hectare metropolis in Laguna. It is being developed by Ayala Land and its subsidiaries to include a range of amenities and features that will contribute towards making this modern urban center a showcase for sustainable development. It will include forward-looking office buildings, retail centers and residential areas amidst the greenest of environments.
Avida Settings will be the first residential community to rise in this regional hub. A total of 380 units are scheduled to be turned over during the first half of this year to homeowners seeking to be reinvigorated by nature. Of the total, 147 are house-and-lot packages while 233 are lots only. In Avida Settings Nuvali, the homes built to exacting standards will have access through their backyards to a common garden that will weave through the neighborhood. This Avida-exclusive feature is aptly called the green ribbon neighborhood pattern.
Meanwhile, 193 units are set to be handed over in July this year to their owners in Avida Settings Cavite which has been attracting young families, professionals and executives who want easy access to the business districts of Makati and Alabang. More homes have been scheduled for turnover during the last quarter of 2009.
A testament to Avida’s strong appeal to middle-class families and professionals who want top value-for-money for units in in-city locations, a total of 1,376 residential condominium units will be released to buyers in 2009. In its Sucat and New Manila locations, Avida Towers is set to turn over 264 units in its fourth building and 330 units in its second building before the first semester ends.
Also to be handed over in 2009 are close to 800 units in Avida Towers San Lazaro. Of that number, 390 in Tower 1 will be released to their owners during the first half of 2009. Turnover of the 392 units in Tower 2 will follow immediately after, setting a record of sorts in the industry in terms of speed of delivery of such a large number of units. Avida Towers San Lazaro is set to introduce new living standards in the former racetrack in the heart of the city of Manila where a mixed-use community is now taking shape.
