EEI posts banner safety record in Serendra projects

-

EEI Corporation made history in the local construction industry when it achieved 21 million safe man-hours without lost time accident in its work in the Serendra project, Ayala Land’s residential condominium development.

This milestone – the highest known record in the country – is a combination of the achievements by EEI in building phases 1, 2A and 2B of One Serendra of Ayala Land Premiere, which comprises 16 residential buildings; and phase 2B also known as CII of Two Serendra of Alveo Land, with its five residential towers, all in the Fort Bonifacio district.

The celebration held last December at Serendra was graced by the Director of Bureau of Working Conditions of the Department of Labor and Employment, Atty. Ma. Brenda L. Villafuerte. In her keynote address, she praised EEI for its commitment in its implementation of Occupational Health and Safety programs in its projects. During the celebration, EEI also received recognition for achieving 8.7 million safe manhours in its ‘The Residences at Greenbelt’ project, and 6 million safe manhours in its ‘One Legaspi Park’ project, both projects of Ayala Land also.

“The banner safety achievement is testament to the commitment of EEI to the well-being and safety of its employees and workers,” said EEI president and chief executive officer Roberto Jose L. Castillo. He cited the company’s rigid safety practices that enable it to manage risks and hazards in all of its projects in the Philippines and abroad. “Safety is a top priority,” he added.
