Celebrity Beth Tamayo and husband Johnny Wong call a sprawling Mediterranean-style dwelling as their home, nestled inside an exclusive subdivision in Quezon City. Its yellow-hued façade is adorned with wooden trimmings to achieve a refreshing, modern, and tropical theme for the house. Naturally, a lot of wood is incorporated into the architecture and design of the whole property – wood that is a favorite target for a whole colony of pests: TERMITES.
The charming home uses various woods within its structure, from the doors, stairs, lanai doors, windows, and cabinets. Outside, the garden area creates a truly delightful ambiance with its koi pond, well-manicured lawn, and the concrete fence covered by bakawan wood to complete the natural effect.
This place is a favorite venue for the couple since they moved here in 2003, because they can lounge around if they are not busy with work and errands. At the same time though, the garden has become a “paradise” for a population of termites who have began to eat away at the bakawan wood that surrounds the area.
That was when Beth decided to consult the experts to help her deal with this pesky problem. “I first heard about Sentricon® whenever we watched movies in Ayala malls which showed commercials of the product. I knew then, when we moved to this village, that houses are prone to termites and other pests because of the abundance of trees. True enough, our household help one day informed us that our garden area was already being infested,” she shared.
Beth called up the village-recommended Topbest Pest Services, Inc (681-1593 / 681-1823 / 0917-8341610). “They came here, did a survey mostly at the garden area where there’s plenty of wood. They advised the use of the Sentricon® and came back periodically to check the whole house,” she said.
Sentricon® Termite Colony Elimination System, a U.S.-developed baiting technology known worldwide since 1995, targets worker termites and later destroys the whole colony and the problem of infestation.
