Anchor Land opens new showroom

-

Mandarin Square, one of Anchor Land Holdings Inc.’s (PSE: ALHI) high-rise luxury condominium projects has opened a second showroom at the lower ground level of SM Manila.

Anchor Land’s interior design partners developed two distinct themes for the 3-bedroom units of Mandarin Square.

The 163-square meter Unit C was designed with a contemporary Oriental approach for the traditional Filipino-Chinese family. All around, earth, wood and metal elements present in furniture pieces, seamlessly combine to create an atmosphere of simple elegance, enhancing both space and function to reflect the unit’s Oriental theme.

The bedroom’s ceilings and walls, in soothing earth colors, offer a relaxing ambience with their clean lines while in the living and dining rooms, deep-colored furniture pieces offer a nice contrast to the earth-toned surroundings. However, the most distinct features of the unit are individual toilet and baths found in each of the three bedrooms as well as a powder room.

The 147-square meter Unit D, on the other hand, is designed with an avant-garde look, reflecting current and fashionable trends in design, perfect for a relatively-young and ultramodern Filipino-Chinese family. The exciting blend of tempered glass, veneer wood and metal, as clearly seen in the glass dividers and enclosures, kitchen cabinets, furniture pieces, as well as bathroom fixtures, give the unit a contemporary yet unconventional look.

However, this contrasting display of textures, materials, designs and colors is never more evident than in the bedrooms, which are rendered totally unique from one another by an array of sleek ultramodern furniture and accessories in bold accents. Perhaps, the only resemblance among these bedrooms is their fashionable look.

In the living and dining rooms, strategically-placed mirrors, abstract pictures mounted in mirror frames and the walls’ “floating-glass effect” makes the rooms more spacious, modern and fashionable. The dining area even has an Italian design feel with a glass chandelier covered in acrylic tinted shade. The fashionable and ultramodern designs are further accentuated by elegant lighting and minimalist approach to furniture pieces.

The design of Mandarin Square features proportions and formal geometric shapes which symbolize the deep attachment of the Chinese community with their culture and traditions. The focal point of the building is the cylindrical curtain glass window in the corner that epitomizes a lighted torch reaching towards the sky. This feature maximizes the marvelous view of Manila Bay and the Manila skyline.

Another innovation distinct only to Mandarin Square and the whole Binondo area is a specially-designed 1-bedroom unit with balcony for single occupants.

Anchor Land assistant vice-president for sales and marketing Elizabeth Sison said the opening of the Mandarin Square showrooms is an important undertaking because they are able to show to their clients the actual units that they intend to buy.

“We are continuously investing in model units because they offer a great showcase of what we can deliver to our clients – real homes built from quality materials. Through our model units, interested clients have appreciated the beauty and functionality of our products and went on to buy actual units.”

Sison is confident that this would still be the case for Mandarin Square’s second showroom. Mandarin Square has already generated 60 percent reservations on 285 units barely a year after the property was started. The units are expected to be turned over to owners in 2009.
