Design philosophy

Thousands of Filipinos have discovered the joys of living in the south, away from the city’s frenetic pace. Many new developments have come up in prestigious areas like Alabang, Sta. Rosa and Carmona, all providing fresh air, expansive greenery and many other "countryside" benefits at an address remarkably close to the city.
However, suburbia has slowly but surely become quite like what we see on TV, with the homes all starting to look the same, and developers simply mimicking each other’s best selling home designs. Dynamic Century Properties, always the innovator, is once again set to redefine the suburban landscape with a new, soon-to-be launched residential community, located only 10 minutes from Alabang, and featuring the pioneering new Moderno philosophy, a fresh design concept that combines sophisticated architecture with upscale resort-style elements.
"This new residential enclave shall stand unique among the other horizontal developments in the Philippines," declares Century Properties Managing Director Marco Antonio, who is currently spearheading the real estate firm’s participation in the Worldbex 2007: The Philippine World Bldg. & Construction Exposition, from March 14 to 18 at The World Trade Center in Pasay City. "We are breaking away from design conventions to celebrate modern trends in architecture."
Deviating from design excesses and clutter, the Moderno aesthetic expresses simplicity and clarity of form; embraces change and celebrates the current by rejecting decorative motifs to emphasize pure geometric forms.
"The Moderno design is a new innovation, a fresh look at two-storey homes," says the members of the creative product development team of Century Properties. "It adds a new line of compact modern living design that allows for spatial drama." All the elements in each home will be built to deliver a higher quality of life to its homeowner. State-of-the-art design details, luxurious finishes, unique materials and modern accessories will surely bring a refined and sophisticated feel to a suburban environment. "Bathed in pure white concrete walls and contrasting browns, these houses will create a good impact on Carmona Cavite. It will certainly attract younger investors," Century’s team adds.
While modern in design, the homes and its surrounding landscape will preserve a warm and inviting atmosphere in this new development. As of this time Century’s team has merely revealed that the project will be inspired by one of America’s top vacation spots, Florida.
"The relationship of areas to one another was carefully planned to create a highly efficient, functional and livable space," Antonio explains. These will be translated into full-length glass windows that provide generous natural light and expansive views of the surrounding landscape. Balconies and porches were also added to render comfort and relaxation to the residents.
Set to rise on a sprawling land area that overlooks a world class racetrack and Casino in progressive Carmona are four initial home designs, each with a unique Moderno design rendition and named after key cities in Florida: Orlando, Lauderdale, Miami and Daytona.
