There is no wonder why more and more people are flocking south of Manila. Cruising along the South Luzon Expressway (SLEX) just before you reach the Sucat Toll Way exit, you see this captivating stretch of architecture harking Neo Victorian inspiration. It is the Brittany Bay Commercial Area, inviting you to hang out for a quick bite or a grand meal and enjoy a charmed life.
Maverick property developer Brittany Corp. surely thought of everything when they plotted the master-planned community of Brittany Bay. They knew that building this resplendent in-city development comes with a lush and vibrant lifestyle that families, friends, businesses and even neighboring communities can enjoy. But there is more in store for the Brittany Bay Commercial Area with bigger and better things to come.
"Our vision for the Brittany Bay Commercial Area is a hub teeming with fun, activity and casual luxury that will bring together people. This is a place where families can convene over great food. Or where friends can chat over burgers, beer or coffee by the Laguna Bay. When you come to Brittany Bay, youll be at home here," said Jing Serrano, Brittany president.
The Brittany Bay Commercial Area began with great promise featuring coffee hot spot Figaro, Italian restaurant Grappas and Dencios Bar and Grill. Since these establishments opened, it has drawn not only the homeowners of Brittany Bays San Francisco-inspired community called La Posada but also people from adjacent communities in Parañaque, Alabang and Las Piñas. This year, it stays true to its vision with bigger and more exciting dining options like Brothers Burger, Hap Chan and Murasaki.
Since it opened in November 2005, Brothers Burger has been successfully indulging Brittany Bays patrons with its premium flame-grilled burgers. They come to feast on burgers made from 100 percent beef patties stuffed into oatmeal-crusted buns and topped with an eclectic array of burger fixings from sautéed onions and mushrooms to teriyaki and wasabi. They also come for their signature onion rings and fries.
"Brothers Burger now tries to be closer to the market. We actually complement the whole community in this area," said Martin Jose, development and marketing manager of Brothers Burger.
He also added that aside from a strong market, location is one of the primary reasons they set up shop at the Brittany Bay Commercial Area. "When we saw the development, we saw that this would be the right place for us. It is easily accessible to everyone. People coming in from a weekend out can stop by and enjoy, relax before they go home," said Jose.
Good location is also what convinced Hap Chan to put up a branch at the Brittany Bay Commercial Area. Aside from accessibility, its eye catching design and high visibility from the SLEX encourages more people to flock to Hap Chan. In fact, Annie Lim, managing director of Hap Chan-Brittany Bay confessed that it was the Brittany Bay Commercial Areas captivating façade and strategic location between Makati and Alabang that won her over in the first place.
Today, the widely popular Chinese restaurant offering value for money Hong Kong-style cuisine is not only a regular haunt for nearby residents. It also draws families far and wide for a taste of good and reasonably priced Chinese food.
"When we interviewed our customers, theyre coming from all over. We dont just attract people from here. Even people from the North, if they happen to pass by, they come and eat here," said Lim.
