Celadon Residences for ‘good chi’

-
"Feng Shui is a practical science. It has existed for 5,000 years and it is neither superstition nor religion," says Charlie Chao, one of the country’s foremost geomancers.

Community Innovations (CI) sought the expertise of the feng shui master to guide the development and layout of Celadon Residences San Lazaro, the first masterplanned community in the city of Manila. Feng Shui advocates that good fortune results when people and their dwelling places exist harmoniously with their environment.

As the respected geomancer tours the site, he quips, "There is immediately a good vibe when one comes in Celadon’s premises. The entrance gate, which faces the East is good," he says. He explains that with the gate facing the direction where the sun rises, the flow of good chi is encouraged.

Master Chao also points out that the history of the current location of Celadon Residences is auspicious. "This was once the site of the historical San Lazaro Hippodrome. Horse racing is an exciting activity and this is good for the chi. People will have good feeling," he relates.

The Celadon Residences’ placement at the heart of a bustling city is also good for the residents. According the him, "Celadon’s location is auspicious because it is at the center of the city. It is near churches, schools, hospitals, transportation areas, and businesses."

Master Chao also underscores three important factors in Celadon Residences that encourage good chi – safety, security and good lighting. Community Innovotions’ first townhouse community in Manila doesn’t leave anything to chance when it comes to the security of the residents. A first of its kind security system will be in place to keep the residents safe.

Presented with the blueprint and layout of the residential, Master Chao relates that Celadon Residences is more than 80 percent balanced, a rate higher than most residential developments in Manila. "No property is perfect. A rating that high is already exceptional," he said.

He also specifically noted that, based on the layout of the homes, there is sufficient ventilation and lighting. He says that like all living creatures, man needs air and sunlight to stay healthy. These, thus, should be allowed to come into one’s residence. These, according to him, help bring in good chi. Feng shui explains that rooms with insufficient light or too much clutter can influence negative chi flow.

"Community Innovations intends not only to build attractive homes but also to give people an environment that encourages a feeling of well-being, which can translate to good fortune," says Grace Sta. Ana, project development manager of Community Innovations.

With Celadon’s first-rate amenities such as a 25-meter lap pool, kiddie pool, landscaped garden, open playfield and multi-purpose court and the well planned townhouses, Community Innovations elevates the experience of living in Manila.

"Community Innovations recognizes that with the stresses presented by modern city living, it is important for people to return to a healthy and safe home to be nourished and restored. It is only by having a home that provides a feeling of comfort and security can one have the energy to take on the challenges of everyday urban living," says Sta. Ana.

Community Innovations is an Ayala Land company that builds balanced, harmonious community with a sense of fun, where the living experience enhances the lifestyles and fulfills the aspirations of its customers.
