XCell Property Ventures unveils the Icon
April 8, 2005 | 12:00am
It was a coming-out party as XCell Property Ventures launched their major project, the Icon. Unveiled at the Embassy Club, a major stones heave away from the project site in Bonifacio Global City where the Icon will rise, the event was graced by prominent business, social and real estate industry personalities. Located just by the perimeter fence of Manila Golf & Country Club, it was joked that the Infinity pool of the residential condominium could qualify as a water hazard!
XCell Property Ventures is the new player in the real estate market and is spearheaded by Ramon Sy, chairman, and Rally Martinez, president. Partners and directors include Ricky Razon, Jr., Freddie Xerez-Burgos and Wilson Sy. The Philrealty board and officers were on hand, as joint venture partners - chairman Gerry Lanuza, president Ador Bacani, Tony Olbes, Ramon Cuervo and Walter Brown. Hosting the event were ANC anchor Pinky Webb and ABS Publishings (and Star columnist) Philip Cu-Unjieng. Metro Society was media partner, with Raul Manzano and Mia Borromeo in attendance.
As with any real estate project, the burning questions on the minds of potential pre-sell clients would hinge on the dependability of the company to deliver; and on this count, the wealth of real estate experience and the solid foundation of banking and building expertise belie any doubts that may crop up in the minds of the buyers. ICTSI, i-Bank, Landco, the Philipine Stock Exchange - these are the names that flash through ones mind as one peruses the names of the officers and directors of XCell. Each individual has carved out his own niche in running businesses and institutions with highly successful track records. That they have come together to form a new venture can only speak well for the future of such an endeavor.
The aesthetics of the Icon have been well provided for. The architectural firm of Recio & Casas have been commissioned to design the building. Responsible for some of the more innovative and potentially lasting structures, designwise, now dotting our urban landscape; theyll be joining hands with Anna Sy, a confirmed modernist, wholl be handling the interiors. Besides her work in Kai Restaurant and some homes in Punta Fuego, her work on a weekend retreat for a young couple in the middle of a Calatagan hacienda augurs well for the kind of look the Icon will well be proud of. Streamlined, modern, yet perfectly accessible; this early on, we can foresee the kind of dynamic synergy that will be forged by bringing together Recio & Casas and Anna Sy.
The price points for the units at the Icon also make for a very attractive proposition. This close to the greenery of Manila Golf and yet, very competitive prices. If Bonifacio Global City is finally seeing its promise come to fruition, you can be sure that projects like the Icon will be directly responsible for helping bring this about. If an icon is a symbol of a belief or cultural movement, then this Icon squarely represents the promise of a reachable Quality of Life.
