Landco plans P200-M Pacific Mall Legazpi expansion

Landco Pacific is set to invest 200M for the expansion of its shopping mall development in Legazpi City this year.

Pacific Mall Legazpi will be expanded from 27,000 sq. m. to 38,000 sq. m. to accommodate more Metro Manila-based tenants and widen the mall’s entertainment and amusement area. The expansion will also cover the department store, which will add another floor to its existing three-storey area.

The expansion area will also house more micro-retail outlets or tiangge, a unique innovation introduced in the mall when it opened in 2002.

A joint venture between Landco and Metro Gaisano Mall of Cebu, Pacific Mall Legazpi is the only integrated shopping center of its size in the Bicol region. It welcomes 35,000 visitors a day from Legazpi City and nearby Sorsogon, Masbate, Naga and Catanduanes.

Located inside the Landco Business Park in downtown Legazpi, the mall is regarded as a complete one-stop destination with other complementary facilities provided by establishments within the business park.

The mall’s retail mix will also widen with new areas being opened up for lease. Major retail and dining outlets such as KFC, Pizza Hut, Shakey’s, Dunkin Donuts, Mister Donut, Baby Guess and Kids, Body Shop, Kamiseta, Odyssey and Smart Communications have expressed interest in setting up shop at the mall.
